Before Safe At Home was opened, Amber and most of the other staff members had already been working within the caregiving field for 10+ years each and the idea for opening up Safe At Home truly started as a discussion at the dinner table. Sidney, NE along with many other rural areas have long struggled to care for seniors and other vulnerable populations and in 2021 there were limited options available for in-home care, hospice care, or even nursing homes. Amber saw how the community was struggling and originally decided to open Safe At Home Sidney as a way to support our local community members. In addition to bringing much needed services to rural community members, she also had the goal of providing as many job opportunities as possible. 

 

As a family business ourselves, it was important for us to create jobs that truly improved people’s lives more than just a paycheck. So Safe At Home has worked tirelessly so that we can provide our employees with flexible hours, high pay, insurance options, 401K plans, and above all else made our employees feel as if they were taken care of as humans.

 

 We never could have imagined the amount of growth that we would have just in our first 3 years, but our goal has always been to support ANYONE who welcomed us into their lives and we will continue working hard to leave positive and lasting impacts on everyone we interact with.
